Students also have the opportunity to study for BTEC qualifications and benefit from TEP (Sixth Form Enrichment Program).We are looking for a Facilities and Maintenance Manager who will be responsible for all aspects of building and grounds inspection, maintenance and repairs; and responsible for management of areas in mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems to ensure optimal operating results. The person will be responsible for management of areas such as health and safety, risk assessment, cleaning, canteen, gardening and security management.Primary ResponsibilitiesEnsure all department policies and procedures are adhered to by all staff members.Review department policies and procedures periodically and provide recommendations for update to Executive Management.Responsible for planning, organizing and execution of new building expansionsResponsible for maintaining and updating records for building, health & safety, risk assessments vis-a-vis compliance to government legal and statutory requirements, i.e. Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Health, Electricity and Water Authority, Civil Defence, municipal authorities, etc.Develop tender documents for any new facility management activities to be undertaken.Identify contractors and review proposals received in discussion with Director of Finance.Monitor tasks carried out by contractors and progress against project plans submitted.Verify that agreed work by staff or contractors has been completed satisfactorily and following up on any deficiencies.Accountable for the safety, quality and timeliness of the contractor’s works within the appointed area/scope. Ensure that contractors comply with all aspects of the Worksite HSE Plan and policy; site regulations, permit to work, and other safety requirements.Responsible for responding appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues.Responsible to ensure all repairs and maintenance activities are carried out in a timely, safe and responsible manner and as per planned annual schedules and monitor system performance.Maintain records of repairs and maintenance conducted.Liaise with third party for canteen, repairs and maintenance services, cleaning, security, gardening, landscaping, sewage and drainage, fire and equipment alarms.Maintain adequate parts inventory and order items as necessaryExecute equipment audit and record-taking policiesCoordinate with the Director of Finance on the implementation of new building projects.Ensure compliance with all safety and security protocols.Investigate complaints, disturbances and violations and resolve problems reporting each promptly to the Executive Head and ensure action plan is carried out accordingly.Note: The primary responsibilities listed above are illustrative and not exhaustive.
